Pros
There are some good colleagues.
Cons
People who excel here either suck up very well, or they are good at not stirring the pot. The culture favors complacency - it's acceptable to push off responsibility and hard work is not rewarded. Rules vary wildly between workers. Senior staff/favorites are treated much better and have a completely different set of rules. They treat visa holders like second class citizens. A couple of extreme homophobes and transphobes openly spouting hate speech is also not uncommon. Management is very comfortable with the status quo. The company is clearly struggling financially, and a huge layoff might buy some time, but I think if not sold soon they will probably close. The president is like a big toddler who throws public tantrums occasionally. He shows up at meetings to yell at the team for not working hard or fast enough. As a leader, he is completely unable to support and loves to criticize. He's definitely running his father's company into the dirt.
