Pros

The shift I worked and the people I worked with at the Chicago office.

Cons

First things first - the majority fo those "positive reviews" from Glendale Heights are paid for or falsely written. I know because someone shared that with me within the company. I feel such sympathy for the individuals who work out of Glendale Heights because they receive the brunt of degrading, belittling, and firsthand discouragement. I hope you brought some coffee my friend, we're jumping down the rabbit hole together: I heard about Becker and had a chance to go to the open house for the Chicago based office. The people were definitely fun and welcoming. That's when I came across the CEO. I tend to people watch and had observed him from afar and picked up on some things I already didn't like, but I thought "Give this person a chance!" We had a short conversation with a friend of mine who also attended and he talked to her condescendingly to which he fired back because she has a no nonsense policy. Then his wife was there, I noticed that he did not try to include her in any conservations that were going on, she simply stood at a table and people watched. I introduced myself and we exchanged words back and forth - the CEO comes in to show myself and friend something on his phone and didn't acknowledge his wife as she stood waiting to be included. Then later her and I are talking and he tells her he wants to dance, grabs her and wisps away. Dances for 5 mins to literally toss her back to the table and she half laughed it off and was like sorry. Anywho they may be very happily married, but I just pick up on things. I stood with her a little longer that night just because she looked like she needed it. Fast forward to the good stuff: within 3 months of working there, 2 people quit and one person was fired. That was aside from the mass firings going on in other offices. There were also multiple locations that had just opened up that was closed fairly fast. HR was slimmed down tremendously until they only had two people in that department, one person basically handling all tasks that he always sounded overwhelmed or stressed about. When they hired a new HR individual to replace the individual that quit, she was there for maybe a week or so before she kept it pushing. I started looking for new employment one day when I asked my manager what growth looks like in my specific position and he couldn't answer that. He couldn't tell me how to move laterally or progress up the ladder. It is like that for MANY positions. You go in there and you just remain stagnant. CEO is surrounded by yes men who are that way out of fear. I've seen/heard him dig out my manager while getting disrespected. There is no amount of money anyone can pay to be irate and disrespect me. But it wasn't me, so it was none of my business. I got along very well with a few people who had left the company shortly after arriving there. The confessions of these individuals on how they were disrespected and dealt with such a negative atmosphere at work that affected their happiness was so saddening. It's not like a whole bunch of disgruntled employees got together one day and was like "This is why we hate Becker!" This happened organically just by getting to know one another until they felt comfortable to share their experiences. We started there with individual incentives then shortly after moved to team incentives with a small percentage that went in our pockets. I worked there for a year...our Chicago office NEVER hit that mark. We also learned later that the favored office could steal our loads but no one could take theirs. As well as some favored offices could maintain individual bookings. So much for teamwork and transparency? Our team at Chicago wasn't perfect, but we made it work. I started there with at least 20 people; now there's like 8-9 left. Please do yourself a favor and do not stoop so low as to work here. You will not be valued or respected the way you deserve. You will be fired and treated like just another number. You're worth more so treat yourself to a job that will compensate and take care of you.

Pros

None this place is an absolute disaster.

Cons

Jim Becker is delusional- The man has no vision what so ever. He's out of touch with reality and his employees. He refuses to hire good talent. He spends more money on his inspirational videos than he does on his company. Also, the videos he posts are garbage nobody watches them or gets anything out of them. Jim is an absolute creep and has multiple lawsuites against him. He keeps employees afterhours and makes you feel so uncomfrotable.
