Cons
Upon the hire of a specific person, the culture and dynamics in the clinic has changed. It has become clear that the CEO has plans to either flip the company or change it for the benefits of more money. The new authoritarian driven hire took away the only platform RBT's had to be heard, micromanages, is insensitive and shuts down the ideas and suggestions of BCBA's in order to have full control. New RBT hires are given false hope and promises regarding hours, flexibility and compensation. The work environment is uncomfortable and chaotic. Employees are perceived as disposable and/or like numbers. Employees of many years claim the CEO was much kinder and involved and created a healthy, family-like work place once upon a time. It's unfortunate to see almost all employees of one company so unhappy and mistreated when they are the most important part for an ABA company.
Another con was the cleanliness of the clinic. The playroom was smelly and all the items were breaking. The toy closet was overwhelmingly full and disorganized with half broken toys or items that were never used. The floors looked like they were never mopped which is unsanitary for kids who flop and tantrum whilst rubbing their hands feet and face on the floors.
