Threat of redundancies is about as low as you can get in the Insurance industry due to performance and because of the bottomless money pit that is the Allchurches Trust.
A very safe employment option but beware becoming stuck in place.

Technical maturity largely stagnant - several major data transformation projects have stalled and been axed. Group Tech are great at talking about adopting new technologies, but nothing actually happens.
Third party suppliers deliver a poor service with limited consequences.
Miles of red tape - bureaucracy is heavy and this strangles decision-making.
Very difficult to progress - many people spend decades here so promotions are awarded on length of service or outside hire.
Boredom - work pace is too slow.
Management come and go in project land.
Internal light restructuring is constant - not through lay-offs but reshuffling of responsibilities.
