Pros
One is able to work a flexible schedule if need be, there is a Keurig in the break room, 401K options are available, and mostly and perhaps a con is that you can enter this job with absolutely no legal experience.
Cons
Health insurance is absolutely unaffordable with the salary that is offered. The salary does not increase much from the initial starting point. There is not much room for growth and there is certainly an impenetrable glass ceiling that will not budge. Management in this office is based on personal relationships and not work ethic. Consequently, the entire department suffers. There are frequent firings and an extremely high turn over rate (for good reason). This firm is a case mill, they are not genuinely concerned with their clients. The firm chooses to bring in as many clients as possible, regardless if they have a valid claim or not. After years of being in the system, the firm will drop a client at the drop of a hat (mostly because management is not thoroughly looking at the cases until the very last minute). Clients have died before receiving benefits due to management's lack of vigilance and necessary documents will await approval for months to years much to the dismay of clients.
