If you are looking for a challenging and fulfilling work environment Beta is for you. Having worked in a corporate setting for over 26 years Beta has been a breath of fresh air. If you know you know. I am really enjoying my time here and looking forward to what is ahead.

Not even a true con but we are in the mist of growth and with growth means that you must be willing to adapt to change. Not everyone can pivot as quickly so working together as a team is key if we are going to be successful. I am confident that we will and we will see the reward for our hard work in the years to come.

The classrooms here aren't really about the teachers; they are just a reflection of whatever leadership wants that day. You either fall in line with their version of "culture" or you’re basically pushed out the door. I’ve seen management literally rail at people. It is an incredibly draining environment. There is so much obvious nepotism here. The board members are mostly long time family friends, and half the staff are related to each other or go to the same church. If you aren't part of that circle, you are an outsider, period. You’ll never have a real future here unless you’re willing to "drink the Kool-Aid"—which at this place literally feels like sliding down a tube slide during some weird induction just to prove you’re "one of them." The student are subjected to favoritism. Family members and life long friends in many higher level roles. Don't cross the staff or the staff's kids. Unless you’re looking to be a "short-timer," save yourself the headache. Unless you’re already part of their specific social or church group, stay away. It looks shiny from the outside, but it’s definitely not gold. Places like this are why many have bad impressions of charter schools but I can say from experience they aren't all like this. What may have started as a great idea now seems to have lost it's soul.
