Pros
As a workplace, BetterUp has a strong culture that puts agency into employee's hands. It's on us to determine where we want to grow, how we want to push the company forward, etc. Keeping commitments from a place of integrity and putting humans first is the most common leadership style I've seen across different parts of the business.
Cons
It's certainly not a space for just anyone, especially if you'd prefer being told what to do or where to go next. Most senior leaders are trying to figure out how to do something that's never been done before and grow themselves, so there's less space for deep coaching and mentorship from the top. However, you can find that from other leaders across the business and most leaders are also good at connecting their team with mentors outside of BetterUp to help their growth.
