Pros
The people (aside from C level) are what keep anyone at this organization. They hire wonderful, hard working, talented individuals and the company thrives on them, not the leadership. At some point everyone plateaus since the leadership is the only one responsible for your growth and Senior level end up leaving. Product is amazing, discount is good and office is pleasant. But the good only goes so far when no one respects the CEO as she is green and straight up mean. The CEO's husband (the CFO/ head of Ecomm) also a mansplainer who has been in a stand in for about 4 years.
Cons
Ill start with Glassdoor reviews. Almost every negative comment has been followed up with a a positive one from the "stand in CFO" who will write a positive review to balance the negative ones. This is known at the organization and pretty obvious if you look at the companies reviews here. Additional cons: - Absolutely no regard for emotional and professional boundaries with CEO and CFO. They are married and its constantly a battle between "mom and dad." - A revolving door of leadership. All seasoned executives who come in are the only hope to be the middle layer in saving anyone at the organization. The CEO has never worked anywhere else and her immediate "go to" for teaching is to write someone up or straight up fire them. - CEO and CFO are both temperamental and morally irresponsible to the organization. They belittle employees in front of and behind one another back. They are constantly challenging individuals to perform under unrealistic circumstances with high demands and little reward - Everyone is scared to write reviews because its small enough they try to figure out who writes what. If they spent as much time worrying about the Glassdoor reviews coaching individuals, maybe the level of respect would be higher.
