Pros

Managers are strong advocates for their employees. I have noticed this in my own department, but also with the other teams in my office. Everyone works hard to make sure they are all on the same page. Business needs are priority, but managers don't take action at the expense of their employees. The environment is relaxed (but I assume that varies by office). Monthly birthday parties and having snacks around the office are nice touches. People here seem happy. They don't work late hours at the office. Sure, they work hard. But there is always laughter or large groups of people going out to lunch together and extending invitations to everyone. I love that there are so many women in management positions!

Cons

For being an IT firm, the internal IT support seems vastly disorganized. It seems like those who work with clients get their IT support from the client because I cannot imagine employees being okay with the constant "hiccups" or their unavailability. Getting access to my own computer and the necessary programs was a nightmare when I started. Having an onsite IT person at each office would be great once the company grows more. Not a *hard* con, but if you don't speak Chinese or aren't at least familiar with the culture, you run the risk of not properly conveying your message and getting what you need. It isn't an insurmountable challenge; just something to be aware of.
