Pros

Not being an employee at Binatech

Cons

Worse than unprofessional. I read the employee reviews before I decided to work at Binatech. I did not focus on the good reviews; I focused on the bad ones. What I saw most, were the comments stating that it is a ‘stressful workplace’ and ‘managers are mean’. I gave the benefit of the doubt and I figured whoever posted - management treated their workers like ‘dirt’, I assumed they were exaggerating…. Well …they were not. How I was treated was not border line harassment, it was harassment. I could not believe management would have the audacity to treat me the way that she did. What truly irritated me the most was management’s unrealistic expectations. For an ex. I was never trained at Binatech. My first week I had to install equipment at a client’s site. Before going onsite I asked where the equipment was located, I was then responded to a demeaning and condescending tone stating “I should have known that. “ (If you are at Binatech’s head office there are boxes and client’s equipment scattered all over the place, they do not have a designated area on where to pick up the equipment, and the boxes are not labelled.) Management then stormed out of her office and started looking for the equipment but had difficulty, because the invoice was missing. After a good chunk of time was spent, management ended up finding the client’s equipment, but I still got yelled at because they believed it was my fault You think the first steps a company would take, would be to at least organize their product management…..But not Binatech… apparently you have to read management’s mind…. During my interview I was notified there was a lot of room to move up within the company, I feel the only way you can move up within the company if you become one of management’s FAVORITE. Not through hard work and dedication, but under favoritism. If you decide to work there, trust me you will know right away who is management’s favorites (there were 2 when I worked there) and they also probably wrote the good reviews on this site as well…. Wouldn’t even be surprised if they were put to aside and instructed to write the good reviews about the company on specific websites One thing I do have to put out there is, I did not get fired, I had to quit. When I was employed at Binatech, there was a month (again just 1 month) where management hired around 7 employees, and within a few days they were gone. This place is a revolving door. The saddest part about this place was that I witnessed former employees get treated way worse than me. If you are going to work there, request that they pay for your parking, if you do not request to get reimbursed you will regret it. Also pay very close attention to your reimbursed expenses.

Pros

-Great work life balance -Management invests time into you to help you achieve goals and growth -Annual reviews/raises based on performance -Opportunities and incentives for educational growth. They will even help cover costs for approved programs/certifications -Values input and ideas from all employees -Weekly meetings to keep everyone in the loop about important changes/training -Very thorough training right from the start to ensure you understand your role and expectations -Very flexible with time off and generous with PTO/Sick time and if an unexpected emergency arises. The management is very understanding and works with you on your needs for any appointments/etc. Honestly one of the most understanding employers I’ve ever worked for!

Cons

-There are some instances that may keep you a little past your scheduled working hours but it does not happen often to even be considered a con but it does happen once in a blue moon so this is just for transparency. -Does require you to be able to work independently. Again, not really a con this just is for transparency. They trust the people they work with to do their work and do it well so micromanaging is not a factor here. So really, this is a PRO!
