Pros

Working at BitPay is a great way to learn about bitcoin and solve a ton of problems in a relatively new sector of tech. Lunch is catered every day and the culture is economically astute. The problems you'll solve are not only intellectually stimulating but also fun to work on.

Cons

At this particular time, the bitcoin network experiences a lot of network congestion. Causing a ton of support inquiries. And because there is not much of a dedicated support team, support shifts are delegated throughout the Bitpay team. This is very inefficient for a company with several products to maintain And can cause a lot of disruption and frustration when trying to be productive. Not to mention, the company is already understaffed. So you can expect a pretty disconcerting workload until the CEO decides to hire a customer success staff. Nonetheless, I'll conclude by saying that the pros outweigh the cons.

Pros

Good culture, laid back, low stress

Cons

Company is run poorly, terrible senior management, compensation far below market. They allow low performers to stick around indefinitely
