Pros

Simple work. Mindless tasks. Pretty lenient dress code

Cons

I would have given them 0.5 Stars however it was not possible. Extremely unprofessional owners. Very cheap. Have trouble communicating properly in English. Will not go out of their way to support their employees. Set up very high and unattainable daily personal targets. If the employee is unable to make above the sale average of the store 3 times in a row (reports are released biweekly) then they can either be written up or let go. This causes a lot of pressure on the employees and causes them to feel competitive and hostile toward other coworkers. Very uncomfortable environment. Management provides small incentives ($20) for the employee with the top sales, but there are a lot of qualifications that must be met for the employee to actually receive the award. No calling in sick unless you are able to find someone to cover your shift, and since each store has about 5 or 6 employees (with 3-4 people working each day) it is nearly impossible to find someone to cover your shift. Employees have to show up for shifts even when they are seriously ill. Horrible music is played at the store. This is the place for you if you don't mind listening to Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, and Justin Bieber on repeat all day everyday for years. The Christmas playlist is what nightmares are made of. Very outdated music. Also prepare to be repairing costume jewellery every few minutes as it is very cheap quality, made in china, and breaks very often. It is very embarrassing when it occurs in front of customers so make sure you have a lot of excuses on the ready.

Pros

Discount for employees on products - that's if you find items that aren't falling apart already

Cons

Holy crap. -Poor quality of items (from the Bitter Sweet jewelry lines, not the other companies' jewelry that they feature) - I remember opening some product to hang on the display wall and they were already falling apart. -Awful management - My manager was paranoid, high strung, nosy and a micromanager. She said after my interview that she'd accommodate my schedule when I said I was a student from the beginning and said school comes first since I was hesitant about accepting the job offer. She ended up being inflexible with my schedule. I remember asking to switch shifts with another part timer (because of a final assignment deadline) and she said no and ended up firing the other part timer just for being accommodating towards me. After that incident she was so hostile towards me and I ended up having panic attacks on the store floor. The customers were never mean to me but this insecure woman was. This job brought me more stress than it was worth and I was so relieved when it was over.
