Pros

They'll hire anyone so if you're fresh outta school you're good.

Cons

Theyll hire anyone. This is honestly the worst case of therapy mill I've ever seen. FFS, THIRTY (30!!!!) minute lunch breaks that you have to clock out for, FIVE (5!!!) minutes in between sessions and NINE (9!!) clients a day. It's burn out city. It's good for racking up hours and that's it. They want you to write collaborative notes with the client in session because they know there's no way to get the note done (breathe, pee, etc) in 5 mins in between sessions. So they spin it like oh we're working together when really we're just stealing therapeutic time from them. No therapists of color

Pros

Working hybrid is great for keeping otherwise very high stress job. Your colleagues will be great. Funding CEs is a great benefit and you can learn a good amount about therapy interventions here.

Cons

Significant micromanaging. Supervisors appear to be struggling with their own burnout and when this gets brought to the attention of the admin team, nothing is done to address this. It often felt like I had to walk on eggshells during supervision which makes it more difficult for supervision to be effective. The benefits were lackluster but this might have changed since I was there. I was often met with opposition if I suggested that a patient should be referred out for more specialized care or a higher level of care.
