Pros

Some good people, even a couple good managers that really try to make things better. Intent is generally good. Good place to learn new tech. Great health plan!

Cons

At times the exec team can be overly aggressive and focus only on the bottom line, even at the expense of employees mental well being. Terrible bedside manner at times as wel as Inconsistent messaging. Little effort to shuffle people onto new projects. Career path unknown here and never discussed. Lots of promises with little follow through. Verbally abusive senior techs discourage anyone from asking questions. I do not feel welcome here.

Hi, I’m sorry your experiences aren't matching the type of environment we strive to offer. Since the last employee survey, we are in the process of addressing some of your concerns, including defining career paths and project rotations. It’s happening. Especially concerning are your comments regarding senior techs discouraging questions, and not feeling welcome. I don't want any employee to feel this way. We’ve tried to create an open and honest space where employees can share their feedback freely, and my door is always open to you. Thanks, Mike

Pros

I have been working at Blue Spurs for a while now - and from day one I was never made to feel like my opinion didn't matter, but in the time since then the process has improved to the point where they look for opinions and are very welcome to hearing them. I've never felt undue pressure to do something that I wasn't comfortable with, and any instance where I had a second thought - it was brought up to the team and it was handled, I'm doing exactly what I want to be doing right now and I got there from speaking up and having those making decisions help me reach that point with training, focus and projects/assignments that fit me. That's a big part of working at Blue Spurs - the people. Every team that I worked with has been talented and understanding, and those who I haven't worked with yet are nice people.

Cons

Sometimes I feel that certain roles get swamped with work and that hinders their ability to perform 100% at times. While it has been improving there is certainly more room for improvement on this. Usually these are roles other than developer ones.
