Pros
Well, I joined BY as a fresher, and now it has been 4 years. I started working on a legacy product team, working mostly on functional enhancements and was really eased into the product in a span of 6 months. After over then next year, gradually more and more responsibility, till I knew the product well enough, and after discussion with manager, director switched to a new project, which was more SAASy. For the last two years have been working on it. So work-wise experience, I would say I have had a good experience, I have got to see both sides of product legacy and modern side. So couldn't have asked for more, being a fresher. Apart from that talking about the people , personally I have always always found it a very helpful and supportive environment. The majority of people are just a HI away, it doesn't really matter if you are a junior or senior or you wanna talk about the difficult choices you are going through. Again it depends on the set of individuals you work with, I have always been able to find supportive and good people around me. As far as management is considered, I see a lot of steps taken by the upper upper management, but really not sure about it, but my experience with my manager and director of product has been very productive. They understood what you want and are always ready to look forward to helping you with it. Of course there are difference in opinions, but thankfully they have been supportive. Again most of the managers I have heard have this thing, where they are pretty upfront about things with you, which is always good. Lastly the work culture, well, it really depends on the team and project you are joining. Some of the projects which are in nascent phase have a tighter deadline, but nothing will force you work late at nights, unless you want to. There are no issues with leave plans, emergency leaves, or impromptu days off. There are no fixed working hours, at least in the teams I have worked with, a daily standup call and sometimes some updates in between. Hope this answers your queries.
Cons
Referral system could be made more better. Salary negotiation takes way longer than it should.
