Pros
• Some truly brilliant people. Multiple certifiable geniuses and experts in their field. • I was able to take on projects that I wasn't the most skilled at but was given them specifically so I could acquire new skills and grow. • Good reputation in the community - everyone who leaves goes to an even better gig.
Cons
• Company is stuck in that adolescent phase where leadership needs to stop acting like a startup (BL was founded in 2013) and make long term investments and decisions. • Within three years you'll either be on track for a director/management role or you'll realize you're never getting one of those and move on. • Diverse staff but monochromatic C-suite. • Compensation growth is defined but capped at 7.5% annual raise for top performers.
