Cons
-Frequent payroll mistakes -Terrible management -Corporate does not value employees -Hourly pay is low, commission is almost nonexistent -Little opportunity for advancement. -"Management training program" is a joke, there is no actual training- you just do the job of a manager for the pay of a receptionist. -Odd and restrictive dress code (ex: "skirts cannot be shorter than knee length" "no maxi skirts or dresses" "tattoos must be covered with clothing, not accessories or bandages") -Sexist hiring practices (will not hire male cosmetologists. Looks, age and gender are all bigger factors than actual skill level) -Lewd behavior rampant among management -The little on the job training available is very poor quality -Low quality supplies sourced mostly from Sally's Beauty -Individuality is very much discouraged -Employees are pressured to fill out reviews on sites like this and in local "best of" competitions to bolster bad ratings. After years of working in food service, retail, and telemarketing...this was by far the unhappiest I've ever been with a job. Our clientele was great and my coworkers were nice, but management has some serious ethical problems from the very core. If I could give negative stars, I would.
