Pros
If you enjoy being overworked, understaffed and unappreciated, then this job is for you!
The pros are being able to connect with cute animals, other than that, this place is a complete nightmare.
Cons
Good luck if your sick, they will berate you for a day off and force you to provide a doctors note for one day absent even though that is not stated anywhere, and you do not provide insurance for your part time employees. Trying to get along with the boarding manager, good luck again. Only if you fall under her specific umbrella of personality will you be accepted by her. If you are not accepted, you will be badly talked about for the rest of your days there. They do not promote employees being friends, they do not promote balance in the workplace, and it is incredibly hostile. The pay is just another con on this list, since you are getting paid close to $14 an hour to deal with maggots, and hostile leadership. Turn around rate is pretty high. If you appreciate your sanity, do not apply here, you will not be appreciated and be berated over small mistakes. Also, medical staff thinks it’s funny to “prank” others with a passed away cat body, they are incredibly disrespectful and horrible people to run this place or continue working there. I do not recommended in the slightest.
