Huge opportunities in a high-energy team - Founder Associate Bocobay Employee Review

Working at Bocobay's London office for the past 2 months has been an incredibly valuable and memorable experience. Each day I am learning more about how a company runs smoothly and the transferrable skills I can use in the future, thanks to the amazing team. A huge pro for working here is it's fast-paced, high energy environment. This is so important, especially as an Intern, as I was able to contribute to the wider growth of the company and see clear progress within my first week! I have learnt so many practical techniques for both time management and understanding & condensing my research into manageable and clear actions in a presentable form. The team is extremely welcoming and friendly in both Aruba and London and I have been so lucky to be able to be a part of the team for the Summer.

As the company has offices in both London and Aruba, so the time difference naturally led to adapting and changing the way we communicate with each office that works well, making us more organised as a company.

The office culture is super driven, fun, and exciting. It's a small team in London at the moment but that means we're super communicative and honest. Hours are pretty flexible as well, so if you need to work from home some days that's completely understood. Whatever you need to complete your tasks and projects will be completely supported, whether that's resources, time, space, or a good brainstorming chat. My internship at Bocobay has been a hugely rewarding experience, and I'll bring so much of what I've learned here to all my future careers moving forward.

Since our main base of operations is in Aruba, communication between the team there and in London is sometimes restricted by the unavoidable time difference. But this is not necessarily a downside; all it means is that your workflow is influenced by when you can reach the colleagues you need to contact.
