Pros
This place is a metaphorical mullet. Up front, it is a serious business grown from an entrepreneur's dream, built on the foundation of support from the local community and immediate family (husband and wife owners). Behind the professional smile is an awesome crew of employees who love to have fun and turn the grit of hard work into a radical party.
There's a great small business atmosphere with awesome company culture and perks. No matter the stage at which you start, daily work presents a wealth of knowledge and the opportunity for exposure to an operation with multiple lines of business. A unique blend of faithful customers who've been drinking Palomino since day one is coupled with large crowds of people eager to learn more about beer.
The tipping pool works well. The schedule flexibility is fantastic. When I approached the owner with a need or concern it was addressed, so I felt seen and heard. For the most part, my coworkers were great to be around. Anniversary parties and team outings felt like the biggest, most outrageous fun of your life.
Cons
Odd hours for those unfamiliar with the service industry. Keg allocation and brew schedules can negatively impact availability, creating a wide fluctuation of what's on tap. There's a lot asked of each individual and sometimes you can feel spread thin (but this is the flip side of flexibility because management tries to meet everyone's needs).
