Pros
If you're a junior professional you'll learn a lot when you're thrown to the wolves. It's good to be in solar and the company is making money for now.
Cons
The organization is severely dysfunctional, operating like a start-up when it's been around for decades. The dysfunction runs really deep and management thinks they can solve things by forcing everyone to learn outdated engineering methods. All sorts of odd things happen all the time like unearned promotions into key positions when the people in question have little to no experience in the field they are moving into (i.e., finance, marketing, etc.) - they just make the C-suite feel emotionally comfortable and important. This definitely isn't the place for mid to senior level professionals that want transparency, fairness, and opportunities to really grow and develop. Borrego is just lucky it found a niche market it can leverage for a few more years.
