Great coworkers, but low pay - Sales Associate - Petites Boscov's Employee Review

I thoroughly enjoyed working at Boscov’s. I was employed there for the holiday season. My coworkers were all friendly and easy to c communicate with.

There were no cons working here.

My coworkers are honestly the only pro to this job. I had a great boss and she taught me everything I know. I have so much respect for her but our upper management never respected her or any woman's opinion for that matter.

Boys club style management in the men's division and executive. Outdated office and data systems. Required to be in-office yet there is often nothing to do because we only have 51 stores. Terrible pay. Working in stores 2+ hours a way during the holidays often 3-4 days per week and on those same weeks working 6 days straight every week between thanksgiving and christmas (for free mind you). No job opportunities unless someone that has been there for 40+ years dies or retires. The only reason the company is still profitable is because everyone that works there is severely underpaid (hence why everyone is 80 and still working).
