Pay and overtime is great

Shifts are 12 hours shifts

Great benefits with a decent work culture. It was a very good place to work during Covid, and met a lot of cool people working for Brazos County. Good work life balance, although I had a lower responsibility position. My opinion of my immediate supervisor was very good. For my position at the time, I felt the pay was decent.

Probably some stagnation in your career, or may be hard to advance. Your experience probably varies department to department. Pay may be lower than private sector.
