Pros
1. Working on a cutting edge polymeric system for solid-state LIBs. If successful, the technology could make a huge impact for electric car applications. 2. Good work life balance. Head of R&D is not too demanding or pushy about successfully completing projects on time.
Cons
1. Need to work on Saturdays and Sundays due to availability of lab 2. Lab is far away from nearest city, and driving is dangerous during winters. 3. CEO's leadership is an absolute disaster. Stay away if you are serious about your career. CEO claims to have been in the battery industry for 7 years, and still cannot differentiate between Energy and Power or units of their measurement etc. CEO has spent tens of millions of $ in funding over the past 7 years with nothing to show for it so far. He is far too focused ALL THE TIME on flying first class, fine dining, opening expensive bottles of wine, moving to his retirement home on some island in Central America, etc. Maybe he genuinely believes that is all what CEOs need to do full-time, or may be he is just riding his investors into his personal retirement.
