Pros
- Great people, awesome team environment. BuildASign has a very inclusive culture. Most places talk about culture, but this has been the first place where I have actually seen how a great culture has shaped a company. People are willing to meet and figure out ways to improve and never point fingers. I constantly hear the word "we". If I want to know how our signs business is doing, I can stop by the desk of anyone in Product and discuss. - Trusting Leadership. I was able to pick up on my role quickly and pushed for more responsibility. Within a year I was able to present something to Board of Directors. - Events, Food & Drink. Almost monthly there is a company wide event, not to mention the monthly department events we have. These events are great for getting to know my coworkers. - Completely off during the weekends. I am able to turn off work and unplug once I leave on Friday. I have never been able to do this at any other company. - Company financials are widely available to everyone who works here. Every month company leadership reviews how we did and what the future outlook is. On top of the transparency, we are doing phenomenally well. Both revenue and profit are growing faster year over year.
Cons
- Formal training and development programs for the office. I assume this will get better as a new HR Manager was hired. - Production and Office have separate offices. I do not get to interact as much with the Production team, even though they are right across the street.
