Pros

Working at any agency provides great exposure to multiple marketing scenarios and roles. Employees wear many hats and can develop many skills at Bullseye Media.

Cons

The majority of employees at Bullseye Media are severely underpaid and overworked. Leadership values friendship over hard work and skill. They will also lie and bully you into false hope of promotions, raises and better company morale. This company is growing, but at the same time experiencing a lot of turn over of quality talent. I left the position I was in after learning that I could be paid double what I was offered at Bullseye, and after being given more leadership responsibilities without any increase in compensation. Most employees work past 6 pm, or at least take their work home with them. Working from home is extremely frowned upon, and micromanagement is encouraged. At this company you will be considered late to work when arriving after 8:15 am. Establishing a work life balance is extremely challenging, no matter what position you have at this company. While I do encourage marketers to work at an agency to quickly develop fundamental skills, I would not encourage working under the leadership of Bullseye Media.

Pros

If you want to feel valued, this is the place for you. There's so much opportunity for career growth. The transparency really shows just how much they care about every single client. The volunteer days are extremely meaningful and it is wonderful to get to experience it alongside other team members. There are so many creative minds in this company and it's a pleasure to work with all of them.

Cons

Honestly, the day goes too fast.

Pros

- A variety of work for multiple clients - Work from home - Flexible time if you have appointments, as long as you make up your daily work.

Cons

If I could give this company 0/5 stars, I would. - Unethical work practices, even though “Ethical Transparency” is a core value. They have worked under the company radar for conservative right-wing groups without informing the entire company. No DEI whatsoever. - Extremely poor communication. During my time there, I have brought this issue up in every single review. The higher-ups are aware and said, "We're working on it." It never moves on from there. - The workload is unmanageable. Working before work hours, through our allotted one-hour lunch, and a lot of time after work hours. I would receive many work emails from account managers after 10 pm and at all hours of the day on weekends. When you bring up the workload, the "dev ops" team would just move things without thinking of the consequences for next week or anyone else's schedule, thus making a bigger mess for the following day/week. - "A fast-paced workplace" does not cut it. For example, 1.5 hours to create over 150 digital ads. These usually take closer to 8 hours. This then throws off everyone's schedule. Tight turnarounds for projects caused many to work through lunches and after hours consistently. - If you speak up about issues, you are gaslighted into thinking it's all you. During a review, I was negatively clapped at by a company partner for bringing up the issues I was facing and advocating for what I needed the company to improve to be more successful. “What (clap) do (clap) you (clap) need (clap). What do you need (clapping with each word). I have never in my professional career been spoken to in this manner. Please note that “Foundational Respect” is a core value for this company. - Women are looked down upon here. Women have been mocked for crying or being “too emotional” to their faces. Please note that “Foundational Respect” is a core value for this company. - This company would rather support AI and ChatGPT than actually use their talented employees. They have let go of almost all of their copy team and now opt for AI. Keep in mind their core values are “Ethical Transparency” and “Foundational Respect”.
