Pros

Neat idea. Most people nice to work with. Free snacks.

Cons

Work / life balance? No. It is supposed to be a company value. But you're told to work constantly. Even weekends. Micro managing? Yes. Everything must be approved like it's the federal gov't. Money? Maybe but not for Employees. All paid way under market, no raises. But money spent on things like custom coloring books and surfboards for board members. Stock options? Kind of. You can buy options but it will cost you thousands of dollars to exercise? Not really an incentive ... Office? It's in an industrial area and you see drug needles and the homeless around. Career advancement? Good luck! Work hard, who cares? A bunch of people were laid off without even a thank you, call, email, note, nothing. Good luck to everyone still there.

Pros

hard to formulate a "pro" comment when this company fails completely in its mission. the founders care little about employee concerns & their disregard for the intended audience is abominable

Cons

concerned only with bottom line & not with supposed mission of delivering high-quality, evidence-based information for consumers. the founders have abandoned their medical oath & mission. rather than using their medical degrees to deliver best healthcare to patients, they have traded their qualifications for the opportunity to increase their own economic status. Employees are treated as cogs in the machine, serving only as a means to financially benefit the founders
