Pros
In my short time at Busey, I have been met with nothing but respect, professionalism, and care. As someone coming from a pressured sales environment, there is a general understanding that we should be looking for real needs for our customers, rather than simply cold calling and being expected to have huge numbers. Without that pressure, it makes me want to get those high sales numbers without being fearful of repercussions for bad quarters or sub-optimal market conditions. The higher management is understandable, respectful, informative, and eager to involve themselves in day to day functions of the bank. I truly enjoy coming to work every day - not just for my coworkers or the position, but I enjoy supporting and furthering the success of a company that I feel supports me as well.
Cons
There is a slight sales environment at Busey, mainly for referring to other departments (mortgage, wealth, credit cards, etc) but it is not high pressure. If they have goals they want you to hit, Busey will give you the training and tools to identify needs and grow.
