Pros
The biggest and by far the best perk is, if you like being alone you can find a job where no one bothers you. And on top of that the upper management is so poor you could be left alone for long periods of time. Hours are fine usually, of course every apartment manager or commercial property manager things the sky is falling when a light bulb goes out but its very easy to stay on top of things for the most part. One more pro I would say is the people you work day to day with are mostly just like you and are on the same page.
Cons
Upper management is unhelpful and clueless to the day to day activities. This is to the point where most on site managers and technicians try their hardest to ignore or placate them. They come by and point at some things make some trivial suggestions to make themselves feel they have made some difference. They leave and everyone goes back to their productive tasks. HR can be a real hit or miss. You may get one HR worker who is helpful and honestly at least sounds like they are understanding and trying to help. And then there is the flip side where you get a another HR worker who just could care less about you and only wants to make sure your not trying to sue them.
