Pros

WFH options and location was great. Other staff were great and a pleasure to work with.

Cons

I learned very quickly why our department had a high turnover of staff. Manager seemed to thrive off drama and creating issues between other departments/people. I was constantly worried about my manager seeing me talk/being friendly to the "wrong" person as it would result in a critique of my performance soon afterwards (you are on probation for the first 6 months). Due to the continuous turnover of staff, there was nobody to actually show you how to do/complete projects correctly so you pretty much had to guess, all while being micromanaged. Other project managers and other departments seemed helpful and greatful of your work, but again, that could hamper you if you are helping the "wrong" person. Easily the most stressful working environment I've ever worked in.

Cons

I'm an x employee who worked as a "Service Consultant" at CBHS Health Fund Ltd. This company routinely misleads both potential and existing customers, hiding traps in their fine prints and operating with a clear lack of transparency. Training was laughably bad, one-size-fits-all, rushed and led by incompetent people. The culture felt fake, performative and toxic. The company preached “inclusion” nonstop, celebrating every trendy cause, but ignored anything that didn’t fit their narrative including basic respect for employees with different beliefs. Cliques, gossip, back stabbing, favouritism, petty high-school behaviour was encouraged and rewarded in silence. If you weren’t in their little circles who came across confident grounded and stood up for yourself, you instantly became a target and they made sure you felt it. Overall, CBHS felt less like a workplace and more like a toxic popularity contest.
