Pros

- Not minimum wage pay, however the base pay is somewhat close. - Many small $1-2 hourly bonuses you can have with your pay - All head management is very friendly and nice - The software you use is fantastically made and kept up to date - Fantastic organizational skills. All information you need is automatically available depending on which city you're taking a call from, which is much easier than a huge book or website like some places use. - Most day Supervisors are incredibly friendly and helpful - Lost of availability to move up into different careers if desired, with semi-good boosts in pay. - Semi-flexible schedule. They're awesome about fitting it around your needs, but they do need about a week notice in advance beforehand which might be difficult for some students.

Cons

- The biggest con here is the job itself. Being at a taxi dispatching call center is incredibly stressful, as the people calling are usually overly-aggresive or very hard to hear. Usually both. It can start to drag on you after a while, having so many people screaming obscenities at you for just asking for something as simple as an apartment number. - Most of the other bonuses are dependent on your $1.50 on time bonus, which is lost for the whole week if you are a minute late, or if an emergency occurs where you can't give a 2 weeks notice for a day off. This isn't much of a con considering that it is just a bonus, but if you have 2-3 other bonuses involved, you can lose them as well and greatly effect your paycheck for something that may be out of your hands. (Ie car accident, clock in machine not working, etc) - As mentioned before, the clock-in machine is a huge pain and usually doesn't work properly. - Night/late day supervisors are very grouchy and short with anyone who has to talk to them. Since we had to frequently relay messages from passengers to them, it can get on your nerves a lot. - Supervisors frequently send out mass messages on the call center's program, which will freeze your computer for roughly 10-15 seconds and make it completely unusable. They do this multiple times an hour during the day, and when you have 15 calls on hold it can get incredibly frustrating. I had to tell my callers so often "Hold on I'm sorry, my computer's frozen!" which made me sound ridiculous.
