Pros

I genuinely enjoy working at CData. It is a fast-paced company and there is always a lot going on, but what makes it stand out is the support and camaraderie across the team. People are willing to jump in, help each other, and work together, which makes the pace feel manageable and rewarding. One thing I really appreciate is how hands-on and accessible leadership is. The C-suite is not afraid to roll up their sleeves, get involved, and support the team directly. That is not something you see everywhere, and it makes employees feel seen, valued, and empowered. I also appreciate the remote-first environment and the work-life balance. There is trust in employees to own their work, manage their time, and still have flexibility. The company cares about recognizing and rewarding people, and I do feel like employees are given opportunities to contribute in meaningful ways

Cons

Because the company is growing and moving quickly, priorities can shift and the pace can be high at times. It is probably best suited for people who are comfortable with change, ownership, and a little ambiguity.

Pros

Remote work. Decent benefits and PTO package.

Cons

The most recent positive review is clearly fake/planted. CData is a highly chaotic work environment with frequent shifts in priorities and direction. You get limited clarity from leadership, often accompanied by conflicting guidance. There's significant pressure to adopt AI-driven initiatives despite a disconnect between leadership expectations and practical implementation. Hiring decisions appear to be driven more by existing relationships than by qualifications or demonstrated performance. HR's ability to address employee concerns is at level 0. Employees who raise issues are often met with deflection rather than meaningful investigation or resolution. This has been the theme across the organization for the past 12 months.
