Pros
-Huge research centre that grants better benefits and salaries with respect to normal French universities -Extremely well-known in France and in Europe -Innovation is a priority and the number of patents per year is currently the highest in the world for public research facilities
Cons
-The main centre, in Saclay, is far away from Paris in the middle of nowhere and transportation is terrible -Many facilities are worn-out and have a shabby look, can be a bit depressing sometimes -Too much bureaucracy (this comes with the French system however) -Non-French scientists might experience troubles with the language, English is not exactly welcome in every lab, although this varies a lot depending on the lab
