      Pros

      Good experience to get into a medical field, especially for medical scribes, good benefits.

      Cons

      Employees are just numbers. Cutthroat management practice managers are expected to cover all positions when short staffed after being promised role was more administrative. Scribes are not fairly compensated for their work. No real direction from upper management. HR is not there for the employees, only company image.

      Pros

      Hands-on experience with EMR systems and patient documentation. Strong patient-facing experience with diverse cases and populations. Exposure to working with multiple providers and medical specialties. Fast-paced environment that builds adaptability and multitasking skills.

      Cons

      Pay may feel lower compared to the intensity and volume of work- but unfortunately is typical for premed/prehealth professionals.
