Pros

The people that do the day-to-day work.

Cons

The multiple five-star reviews must have been done by our HR department. Our internal survey scores show we are way behind other companies. The faith in executive management was extremely low. The culture here is not great. Pay is low compared to the area, no bonus plan for anyone under a director, and benefits are high and increasing. Nothing has been done about the survey results except talking about it. Supposedly there is a new culture document but no one has seen it. The office is like our restaurants. Everyone turns a blind eye to the dirty conditions and bad operations. They think a pizza party is going to turn things around.

Pros

I’m encouraged by the momentum we’re experiencing as a company. There’s a real drive to focus on the things that originally made Hardee's and Carl's Jr. great, and I believe that same focus can make our brands amazing. It’s energizing to see the transformational work happening across operations, and the way each department is aligning to support progress in a meaningful way. One of the shifts I’ve appreciated most is moving away from “forced fun” to intentional, engaging town halls. **Especially the in-person ones, which feel much more authentic and connected. The CEO Award is another nice recognition that highlights the great work happening across the company. I also want to call out how outstanding the International team is. Their metrics, processes, and momentum are impressive, and their conference is something to admire and aspire to. It makes me wonder what it would take to create something similar for our corporate colleagues (not just for our international employees and franchisees).

Cons

Open more lines of communication to flow between top leadership and the rest of the organization. Build into the budget a better 401(K) plan, departmental team-building opportunities, and professional development funds.
