Pros
The people on the front lines. Many were committed to doing whatever it took to get members service they asked and paid for. In today's service economy, being able to deliver what you promise is a rare thing. On those occasions where we made a difference it was truly appreciated by the members, if not the management.
Cons
Favoritism. Promotions all based on who you knew and how you knew them.
