Pros

They have MacBooks and decent PTO, a good match policy with 401K, and competitive rates for health care. There is a office perks like snacks and ping pong but most employees answer a phone and can’t play ping pong.

Cons

Management is inexperienced, and has alot of growing pains. Depending on your department you could love your job because the management runs the department well, or the management does not. Some in management are in need of considerable training or employee protected because of nepotism or favoritism of some kind. Many employees have a pride, some pride is good but have noticed a pride that is a bit toxic. Sadly have seen many employees let go in the last year because of small reasons they are quick to let go for small incidents. The “people and culture” is a buzzword for their HR department and they are trying to compete with their techie competitor. haven’t had the best experiences with them handling workplace conflict because of in office politics. Their employee reviews are very strange as they are more like a popularity contest and everyone gets rated on values at the company, felt like a social reward system which can be difficult for people trying to simply work and do their jobs, work and personal life are separate for most and always trying to appease everyone brings down morale and mental health of staff. Lack of expectations in job, unclear training left to one’s own to learn complicated software. Everyone always is stretching beyond their roles to “fill in”and this type of unclear expectation is often encouraged. Often I see the company rewarding hard workers but also overworking them (having them work two positions… or stretching them thin with responsibilities.) I’ve seen stress high for these employees who feel they are giving back to the company, but I also felt they were being taken advantage of. Goals are set high they are almost unachievable or unrealistic.

Pros

- Easy Onboaridng, paperwork is electronic really efficient - Fun outings with CEOs that spare no expense - Beautiful office design - Independence to do your work and design innovative solutions

Cons

- Took approx 5 interviews to get hired, more than 4 interviews to get hired is absolutely ridiculous in this job market - Interviewing with multiple people that you won’t be working with under the guise of ‘checking if you fit our culture’ says a lot and not in a good way - Company moves in a fast and unorganized pace - Employees are told to look for cost savings as well as money making opportunities, this is not what most people were hired for - A lot of fraternizing between employees on inappropriate levels across the small org during after hours and off the clock activities - No separation between HR and Executive leadership, HR seems to pull strings and there is no appropriate separation of duties - Managers who do not work well with team members are promoted because of what they can do for CEO/company and not how well they manage people or produce - Favoritism runs rampant especially if you’ve been with the company since the beginning - Too much drinking on premises - They are jailed as one of the best places to work but after my experience I can’t understand why - HR does not take claims of mistreatment seriously
