Pros

Holiday allowance is good and increases by an extra day per year worked for the company

Cons

No respect for the people working in practice. Staffing cuts, redundancies and lack of budget mean no nursing staff with the same amount of workload. Poorly managed in general - from higher ups and in house. Highly stressed team, workload ever-increasing with no thanks, laughable pay rises, the expectation to just grin and bear it. The pay is abysmal. The pay for newly qualified nurses is a joke. CVS have recently cracked down on ‘clutter’ and request practices ‘declutter’ which means we have been made to remove all emergency dose posters from the walls, dosage charts and anything useful is now out of arms reach. Recently a senior member of management sent out an email stating that as their nurses are so badly paid they were discontinuing their 3% over NMW scheme for their students and reception staff.
