Pros

extremely interesting industry, and CEO/CTO are industry leaders; employees are hard working; some retirement benefits; some healthcare benefits

Cons

minimal PTO/sick time, hostile/toxic work environment, lack of benefits, health coverage is also minimal (plus no dental or vision); staff is constantly berated; video cameras are throughout the office and watched all day long by owner in her office on large monitor; huge turnover primarily in NY office; inconsistent policies (always changing without warning)

We couldn’t agree more. The 3D printing industry is fascinating. In fact, it is becoming more and more accessible over time. We are fortunate to have both, a great CEO and CTO with many years of experience in the industry. Regarding your experience with the environment or lack of benefits, CAD BLU does offer employment benefits that are aligned with the industry. Thank you for your advice on motivating our team as this is something we constantly do.

Pros

CadBlu gives you a test of what it's like to work for a small business. There's lots of learning potential that can be transitioned into your next career. You get to play around with cool technologies all day and interact with various businesses

Cons

Executive level management also does sales and as result things are promised to end user's that aren't possible. As the field service tech you are often the first to show the machine off. When the end user asks about the promised non existent feature you're the one who has to get an ear full. This company could care less about its employees and culture. In my time with them they never once attempted to address culture and as a result it feels like another dead end job. The pay is so far below industry standards the most people end up working second jobs. Executive level management is aggressive and so most people don't even last a year on the job before deciding to move on because it's not worth it
