Typical US firm - Associate Lawyer Cadwalader Wickersham Employee Review

Pros

The only real pro is the high salary. The London offices are nice too, but so are all corporate offices.

Cons

The lack of work-life balance. The literally 24/7 work expectation. The passive aggression you have to deal with when after waiting around all evening for something which hasn't arrived, you dare to leave at 10pm, only for a non-urgent email to arrive at 11pm, meaning you deal with it in the morning. How unhappy everyone clearly is in their jobs, but no one can admit to themselves/each other that they are just there for the money, so there is a fake bubbly-ness of people pretending to like it.

Pros

Opportunities for those who wish to work hard and get ahead
