      Caltrans is really big on equal opportunity and take cases very seriously if people feel like they are being targeted. They strive on making their employees feel connected. This review is coming from a HQ level.

      Cons

      This may be similar to other state departments, but management always seems to be shifting. Ive been in a position for nearly 10 years while working for about 15 different supervisors.

      Pros

      Good job stability, strong benefits and retirement package, supportive work-life balance, and valuable experience working on large public infrastructure projects. Great place to gain hands-on exposure to transportation systems and build long-term engineering experience. Good environment for professional growth and obtaining licenses/certifications.
