Pros

Mutual funds are becoming dinosaurs. Really astute management and governance were needed many, many years ago to chart a new course based on core strengths. Instead the organization ossified.

Cons

New management has to create a new company and product platform - nothing less. Check back in a decade!

Very friend and collaborative colleagues. Most people are passionate about what they are doing. Great culture. Rapidly growing and pioneers of sustainable investment.

Cons

Morgan Stanley acquired them in 2021 and the great, inspirational, visionary leader, John Streur, ultimately left. New C-suites vary -- most are good but those from Morgan Stanley are sly. Vendor relations and collaborations have since been forced to dissolve. Small firm feel is gone and it is very corporate. Very much a bank/investment firm/environment. A lot of bureaucracy. Little room for growth within Calvert itself.
