Pros
- Some flexible working - e.g. work from home - ok salaries depending on the region - in sales, marketing or support you have the ability to define your role a bit as they are always run slightly understaffed and good performance stands out (that doesn't mean you will get rewarded for it though) - Good products for sale
Cons
- Management is relatively undecided about what they want and changes their mind often. Often tries to set numerous projects in motion without the correct resources, therefore fail - Overtime / weekend work is expected on a regular basis - overtime or time in lieu only if you have to work on weekends and if your manager pre-approved. - Good performers are pushed, bad performers are allowed to get away with not meeting targets - Most heads of departments got there because they stayed the longest or are 'friends' - There are a lot of 'ball passers'
