Pros

I’ve had the privilege of working at Canadian Solar’s brand new startup in Texas, and I can confidently say it’s been an incredible experience. Here are a few reasons why I think this company is awesome: • Established Legacy: Canadian Solar may be a new presence in Texas, but it’s important to note that the company has been around for 22 years. This longevity speaks volumes about its stability and commitment to the industry. • Diversity and Inclusion: The CEO’s dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion is commendable. It’s not just a slogan here; it’s a part of the company’s culture, and you can feel it every day. • Great Leadership: The General Manager, Philip Zheng, is a standout leader. He’s fair, approachable, and encourages a collaborative atmosphere where everyone’s ideas are valued. • HR Excellence: Katherine Wang, the HR Director, is a true asset to the company. She’s smart, committed, transparent, and trustworthy. You can rely on her to provide guidance and support when you need it. In summary, Canadian Solar in Mesquite, TX, is a company that combines a rich history with a commitment to innovation and inclusivity. I’m proud to be a part of this organization and excited about the opportunities ahead.

Cons

• Growing Pains: As a relatively new presence in Texas, the company is going through the typical growing pains. This means that at times, processes and procedures are not as well-established as one might expect from a more mature organization. • Lack of Processes: Due to the startup nature, there can be a lack of standardized processes in some areas. This can sometimes lead to inefficiencies and require a bit of adaptability from employees. • Team Placement: In a startup environment, it can be challenging to ensure that every team member is in the ideal role. This can lead to some role adjustments as the company evolves. However, it’s important to note that these challenges are not unique to Canadian Solar and are typical of any startup. Despite these growing pains, the company’s commitment to diversity, the leadership’s dedication to inclusion, and the expertise of key team members make it a promising place to work.

Pros

Pay is competitive and always on time production bonuses are generally once a month for at least 800 to 1500.

Cons

Unprofessional upper management staff and supporting staff. HR are their puppets and do not stand for employees.
