Pros

- Boutique firm with great analytical capabilities - Small company so you gets lot of responsibility and exposure to upper management and client execs - Interesting and impactful projects (mainly consumer goods) - Teams are small and collaborative (you will learn a lot) - Infrequent travel - Global reach with international brand recognition (The Economist)

Cons

- Long hours - When you do travel, it is generally very far (China, Latin America, Sub-Sahara Africa) - Office is generally very quiet (which is sometimes a pro)

Pros

Canback & Company works with some of the largest companies in the world and tackles some of their most difficult problems. If you demonstrate ability, senior management will give you immense responsibility at a very young age. Consultants right out of school can be traveling around the world and interacting with client senior management. Young consultants are exposed early to aspects of both our own internal and client businesses that would take years to gain access to at other firms. I can't say enough about the culture at the company. Senior management is open and transparent with the rest of the firm on nearly every aspect. Ping pong table in the office and group outings give the company a very "startup" feel. Travel can be stressful, but our clients send us to some of the most interesting countries in the world - as consultants, we get these experiences for free.

Cons

As a small company, there are obviously going to be growing pains. Canback & Company is still trying to formalize a lot of the day to day practices that consultants would take for granted at a large firm. IT can be challenging. Training often comes by doing project work, although it is becoming more formalized. Travel can be strenuous at times.
