9yThanks for taking the time to leave feedback, and I’m sorry to hear about your frustrations. To allow a firm of our size to function, manage risk, grow and remain financially successful, we do need a robust team of leaders at the top guiding us in the right direction. We have eight individuals leading our firm—our firm’s Core Team—but each has a very distinct focus area (e.g. design excellence, financials, business strategy, etc.). If you haven’t had a chance to meet or speak with these leaders, I encourage you to reach out to them directly to discuss some of your frustrations. Each leader is fully committed to an open door policy. Also, the entire leadership team will be traveling to offices throughout 2016-2017 to meet with employees, so don’t be afraid to bring up any of your concerns then, too.
In the interim, I encourage you to speak to your supervisor regarding some of the other issues you bring up. There is a difference between design staff and technical staff (i.e. the job responsibilities are different), but we need both to deliver successful projects. If you feel that there is an unfair split on the projects you are working on, we absolutely want you to speak up so we can address the situation. The same goes for your comment about the unbalanced workloads between junior and mid-level staff, and the lack of growth opportunities.
Thanks for being honest with your feedback. We take comments like this very seriously and use them to make our firm better.
