Pros
Working with terminally ill patients and their families and field staff who try to do the right thing every day.
Cons
If you work there you will likely encounter the following: office bullies, no one reading or responding to their emails, significant reduction in health benefits, being told one thing but seeing another happen, numerous sudden department leadership and/or job description changes, followed by another equally counter-productive change a few months later, executive leaders who don’t respect or trust each other and don’t work together- this creating a vacuum of leadership and pitting departments against each other. “We can’t do that, we’re ‘not for profit’ ” as an excuse to not fairly compensate employees while asking more of them every single day. Favoritism, nepotism, cronyism, and elitism at the very top. Toxicity in the corporate office so bad that no one even wants to come work in-person.
