The entire "business" is predicated on deceiving people, whether it be employees, interviewees, or customers. It is "lead-based" door-to-door sales, which, to be fair, is not inherently awful. However, you'll never be provided with a sufficient amount of product knowledge, and in turn, you'll end up unknowingly lying to customers just in order to get a sale. They'll train you on how to impulse customers, preaching that you know what's best for them, when in reality, you barely know anything yourself. Capital sells a dream that you will one day be able to open up your business, make six figures, and rule your own life. Don't be deceived. Sales reps quit the job at an astronomical rate, whereas only a select few have ever risen to the top of the pyramid scheme. They'll say that the reason that these employees didn't make it in the "business" is because they were lazy, or unmotived, or losers. In reality, they were incredibly hard working people who worked very long hours (upwards of 50 hours/week), only to be compensated with a $100-$300 paycheck (well below the fictitious $800-$1200 weekly pay that they tell to interviewees).
