Pros
Hybrid Schedule Company provided snacks from Costco in the breakroom
Cons
* Lack of cultural diversity. CNS, Inc. Some interactions made me feel like I was being discriminated and singled-out. For example, the owner's wife, the CFO, unprompted, made it known she was Catholic and faith is very important to her. In the break room, I was asked by the CFO what were my plans for Easter? I said I do not celebrate Easter but I was curious about Passover and planned on visiting a Jewish synagogue to learn about Passover. I generally try to avoid talking about politics or religion in a work environment. CFO talked about their children often and threatening to take them off the payroll if their lifestyle choices did not comply to her expectations. * Lack of onsite Human Resources personnel. The woman that covered orders, shipping and handling was also related to the owners, she had a very demanding, heavy workload, they had her do some HR paperwork but it wasn't her main focus. * CNS Inc. did not provide a copy of my background check that I requested * Poor training materials, and poor communication. Many training documents contained grammatical errors. The PM Team didn't like me trying to help correct some of the errors. * I saw high turnover while I was working there. They terminated a Coordinator that was a veteran with special needs and accommodations. I saw a disgruntled employee run through the office yelling, "I resign" with his hands up through the office. Later, they installed a ring doorbell because that Helpdesk Technician had been making threats to the owner. I was reprimanded for asking clarifying questions regarding business operations and how they wanted me to bill clients. I was cornered in a performance meeting with the Senior PM and my trainer PM, after that aggressive, "getting a talking to," I asked if an HR rep could join in those future meetings. That request seemed to be problematic for them. * High stress: another Project Manager had been with the company for 6 months was my trainor. He would skip meal breaks, the impression I was left with made it seem like I was expected to do the same. * Many of the communication tools, like email templates for clients and contractors, contained unprofessional language and grammatical errors. * Terminated -No reason given, no cause. * This is my opinion of my personal experience with Capital Network Solutions, Inc. No defamatory remarks intended. Wasted my time and stressed me out working for them.
