Pros
The people who worked there were amazing. Very talented!
Cons
Management is terrible and have no idea what they are doing. Executive founders who have little to no experience in the space they are in pushing decisions through. They believe they are all experts and its their way or the highway. No collaboration and if the idea is not from them its not good.
Zero trust in the company, managers being massively irresponsible and holding titles over peoples heads. Best way to describe the founding team: they have locked arms and would rather burn the place to the ground than swallow their pride.
Two main founders, one is the largest blocker in the company and will change their mind months later on approved items making the teams revisit and review them even before they have seen the light of day. The other creates so much scope creep it's almost laughable. CEO is not a north star people would want to follow and pushes his own personal agenda and opinions on people. I have never seen someone in a Pandemic want to have all of the staff into the office. Constantly hear "we are not a remote company" "it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of how we are going to".
Leaders have a responsibility to behave and respond in ways that are appropriate in any organization. They set the standard for themselves and those they lead.
CareCru's leaders have consistently violated this reasoning, acting in shameful ways and boasting about their actions. One of the founders recently returned from a group Christmas trip to Mexico, and he spent the next week gossiping in the office about how he was able to circumvent quarantine expectations. Does that sound like someone you want leading you?
Communication between teams is dismal at best and the respect for craft is non existent. Extremely poor compensation, tons of empty promises, and as an employee you have to "bring your own device" which is unheard of in tech.
The culture here is more of a place of fear over collaboration and fun. You cannot question decisions or speak up against concerns (you are then against the company) Completely two faced managers who will say one thing to your face then do the opposite behind your back. It's a culture of throw others under the bus to get ahead. The best word for this is Toxic.
Tons of churn in the company due to lack of respect for employees or their positions. This on top of the product being over a year behind due to poor management and scope creep from founders. A complete sinking ship.
